After being incarcerated for the fourth time, Michy found herself reflecting on her life from inside a cell. Despite having big dreams and aspirations, she was stuck in a cycle with no clear plan for the future. Determined to break free from this pattern, Michy made a pivotal decision: to take control of her life and create a Release Action Plan that would not only lead to her personal transformation but inspire thousands of others.
Upon release, Michy took her reentry experience and founded Cell Dreamer, a comprehensive reentry program designed to help others navigate the challenges of life after incarceration. What began as a vision for personal change quickly expanded—Cell Dreamer is now implemented in 28 states across the U.S., empowering individuals to rebuild their lives and rediscover purpose beyond the prison system.
Not stopping there, Michy launched the Million Youth Mission, setting the ambitious goal to donate Cell Dreamer to 1 million youth around the world. This global initiative aims to equip young people with the tools and support needed to break cycles of incarceration and hopelessness, proving to them that their potential is limitless. Michy’s journey from incarceration to becoming a coach for youth reentry is a testament to the power of transformation. where are they now?
As required by federal tax law, once a donation has been processed, it becomes the property of Angels for Angels, and Angels for Angels has exclusive legal control over the donated funds. Angels for Angels will make a good faith effort to utilize a gift for the purposes of the project named, however, Angels for Angels reserves the right to re-grant gifts where, in Angels for Angels sole discretion, the recommended project is not furthering its specified charitable purposes or when, for example, such project falls out of compliance with a federal or state regulatory authority. If Angels for Angels cannot regrant a donation to or for the purposes of a project that you have recommended, Angels for Angels may in its sole discretion select an alternate recipient, expend the funds in furtherance of the intended charitable purpose itself, or contact you for a different recommendation.
